Icewind Dale, Black
Isle's latest jewel in the crown, is an RPG set in the Forgotten Realms.
It's a classic dungeon crawl using the awesome BioWare Infinity Engine
(which was used in Baldur's Gate).
Journey
deep into the Spine of the World mountains, a harsh and unforgiving
territory teeming with fearsome and merciless beasts. There you must
confront an ancient evil that threatens to unleash an unspeakable horror
upon the face of Faerûn.

Icewind Dale is one
fantastic game. While some may be put off by the focus on battles and
dungeon crawling, others, like me, will love it. The thrill and satisfaction
gained by learning new spells or gaining a new magical item is testimony
to the game's great design and balance. Icewind Dale is computer role-playing
at its finest, and should not be overlooked by anyone looking for a gigantic,
absorbing, and fun dungeon crawl of a RPG.
Utilizes an enhanced version
of the Bioware Infinity Engine as used in Baldur's Gate.
Developed by Black Isle Studios, the group behind the bestselling role
playing games Fallout 2 and Planescape: Torment.
A completely new ADVANCED
DUNGEONS & DRAGONS adventure with an epic storyline in the tradition
of Baldur's Gate.
Includes 3D technology developed
for Baldur's Gate II that allows for incredible spell and environment
effects.
New spells, equipment and
abilities provide a higher level of gameplay.
Play as a single player or in a group of up to six people with full
LAN and internet multiplayer support.
